Holi celebrations(community)

March 1

Holi is a vibrant, ancient Hindu festival celebrating spring, love, and the triumph of good over evil, known as the “Festival of Colors” for its tradition of people playfully throwing colored powders (gulal) and water at each other. It marks the end of winter, welcomes spring’s fertility, and commemorates the divine love of Radha and Krishna, with large bonfires on the eve signifying the burning of evil. Celebrated with music, dancing, sweets, and feasting, Holi brings communities together in a joyous, colorful explosion of fun
